What are the facts? A private oil-pipeline-company with hundreds of oil spills and broken pipelines to its credit, wants to put a new private oil pipeline through the Missouri River and many other waterways. Many thousands of citizens and veterans have put their lives on the line to stop it, and continue to do so today. Militarized police have been brutally enforcing the private oil company's wishes. Occasionally false reports that the pipeline has been stopped are shared through the media, reducing the water protector population and making it easier for the pipeline to further towards completion.

  Another evening with the brothers Carl and George WURZBACH singing songs they wrote, songs they say they wrote, and songs they simply stole.

  "Carl Wurzbach is a songwriter who’s been forced to sing.  He found early success writing for others….getting covers by artists such Linda Clifford, Jimmy Caster, and Liquid Pleasure.  The latter's 1976 single “Take a Little Love” was nominated by Billboard magazine as disco single of the year….no sh*t…. Carl got sober and got a real job mixing music and shows at Celebrate Brooklyn, Broadway, and eventually BAM where he ran their opera house audio for 20 years.  He returns to the other side of the mic after a 35 year hiatus, confused and puzzled by the values of this strange planet he now performs on…an analogue guy in a digital world, his motto “ a little rock, a little roll, and a rather unfocused gaze” makes you wanna check him out at EDBlues.com doesn't it?  George Wurzbach [Carl's brother] is a multi-award winning songwriter from Brooklyn. He's a native; born, raised and residing in.  Perhaps this is why his music has a sort of 'attitude'. A uniqueness that is reflected in the number of artist songwriters who have recorded them including, Tom Paxton, The Kingston Trio, David Wilcox, Bob Malone, Kevin Briody, David Ippolito, John McNally, Hot Soup, Seamus Kennedy, and many others.  His recent work with Paxton was featured on the 2009 Grammy nominated album Comedians and Angels.  'There is a kind of laid-back smart-aleckness where one has to sit back, slack-jawed with awe. It’s his tone that gives the listener the impression of George as a bemused watchful observer. With an enormous support group of musicians/friends, the band doesn't just play songs but creates atmosphere. As a live act, the band can go from light and airy to gritty and tight, sometimes trading in their sweet polished sound for a more clunky indie-rock vibe which often demonstrates the real strength of their music: concise, well written songs and undeniable musical chemistry.

SPECIAL: COULD UNDERSTANDING 9-11 END THE WAR ON TERROR? Newly De-classified Documents.
   It's been a bizarre year for American politics, including in the realm of 9-11 investigation.
   Join two leading NYC peace activists, Les Jamieson and Sander Hicks, as they present and lead a discussion on the recent developments toward understanding the events of 9-11.
   Last July, a historic effort to achieve transparency on key 9/11 evidence culminated in the declassification of 28 pages from the Congressional Joint Inquiry report on 9/11. This was followed by a dramatic passage of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA). These two developments cleared the way for law suits targeting sources of funding for the attacks to move forward after years of being stuck in limbo. Now clear insights into the relationship between the Bush family and Saudi royal family, the 9/11 money trail, the geopolitics of the U.S./Saudi government, and role of the Deep State are visible like never before. Now the 9/11 wars abroad and loss of civil liberties at home can be seen as part of a covert agenda for empire which the 9/11 “new Pearl Harbor” event triggered. Come learn how this area of evidence has proven so strong that Congress was compelled to take action. Included will be an overview of the diverse areas of scholarly research compiled over 16 years. We will also discuss the need for continued vigilance as well as potential for great progress in this new stage of 9/11 justice activism.

Speakers: Les Jamieson, Sander Hicks

Les Jamieson has studied the alternative research into 9/11 since November, 2001. He has been publicly active as an event organizer, street activist, and movement builder since January of 2004. Beginning October 2014, Les spearheaded an effort to generate grassroots support for legislation to release the 28 pages from the Congressional Joint Inquiry on 9/11, as well as mobilize public support for the passage of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA). Les co-sponsored the 9/11 Justice In Focus Symposium for the 15th anniversary of the attacks. This event is widely recognized as one of the most informative and best produced 9/11 activist events ever. Les has chaired educational panels on 9/11 and the 28 pages at the Left Forum in 2015 and 2016. Les is currently on the board of the 9/11 Truth Action Project, working to mobilize activists calling for a “9/11-informed Congress”.

Sander Hicks is founder of Soft Skull Press, Vox Pop Inc., and Zen Carpentry. As a writer, he has written seven plays and musicals, and sings in his art-punk band White Collar Crime. His most recent book is Slingshot to the Juggernaut: Total Resistance to the Death Machine Means Complete Love of the Truth. (Soft Skull, 2012). He is an alumnus playwright of New Dramatists, where in 2017, he produced a night of dramatic theatre, entitled, “The Mysteries of 9/11.” Hicks has personally confronted Dick Cheney, Rudy Giuliani, Richard Ben-Veniste, Jerome Hauer, and several other government officials about the US/Mossad 9/11 cover-up.
    As a businessman, Sander Hicks started the innovative award-winning companies Capital Cooperative/Zen Carpentry, Soft Skull Press,  and Vox Pop Inc.  Hicks appeared in the national media from 1999 to 2001 for republishing the controversial George W. Bush biography Fortunate Son. His struggle to print the full story about then-Governor Bush was covered by 60 Minutes, New York Times, Washington Post and the award-winning documentary “Horns and Halos,” broadcast on HBO’s Cinemax in 2003.
     Hicks has written about economics for Alternet and religion for The Huffington Post. Hicks has spoken widely across the country, from house parties to radical bookstores to Stanford Law School. Raised Catholic, Hicks is a Zen practitioner and interfaith activist, who seeks the truth through understanding the call to justice in all of humanity’s religions.

The ZEITGEIST Movement argues for a large-scale change in human culture, specifically in the context of economic practice. The dominant theme is that the current socioeconomic system that governs our world at this time has severe structural flaws born out of traditional economic and social assumptions which originated in our early history, and the inherent severity of these flaws have gone largely unnoticed.

Due to advances in science and technology, "... it is now highly feasible to take care of everybody on Earth at a higher standard of living than any have ever known."
